Default Hi there!

Another new guy on the forums

Scraped together some used stuff to enjoy.. it isn't much just yet, and upgrades will follow in the future. For now, just some things to play with and maybe do some tinkering.

Just purchased:
- one pair of Energy XL-25 floor standing speakers
- one Rotel RB980BX stereo power amp
- one Rotel RTC950AX tuner/preamp
- one Denon DCD 690 CD player.

I know this ain't the best of stuff, but for under $400, I don't think I made bad choices

Those Rotel amplifiers, separate preamp + power amplifier
will do!
Rotel are pretty good at power amplifiers!

Thanks call and lineup

Yes, I am looking forward to the Rotels. The piece of junk I have now just doesn't cut it. The Energy speakers obviously aren't the best either (a tad too bright), but they actually have good definition, and a decently controlled bass... they're just a 'holdover' set until I can afford a pair of B&W 683's
