hi Al
the kit88 i believe has to be the best amp i have had the pleasure of owning. i have made some mods and am now running with svt 6550's and believe this will be my last amp unless i can get the money together for a full triode such as 813 or if i dont scare myself too much 211's .you can still get the pcb and most of the hard wear from wad or go for the kit6550. if you go to the bb you'll find loads of help http://www.worldaudiodesign.co.uk/forum/index.php. surf has been odd this year it normal is at its best between feb and may in the uk but its been weak and a directionless add to this is odd high tides ie 4m tides reaching as far up the beach as 5's!! ... are you a plank walker?rob |

I think the valve project will go have to go on the back burner for a while, now the war has started I am already having gigs cancelled, so I think expenditure will have to be minimised No I don't surf, but I have a few friends that do, and as you said, I thought this was supposed to be the peak time. Maybe you could try the Severn Bore run, isn't that soon?
