Default 10 years away from diy and I'm ready for more

Greetings All,

I've been hanging around here the last week or so and having found some
trully inspiring discussions that I can't help but get involved in,
I figured it was time to introduce myself.

I haven't built any Hi-Fi equipment for some 10 years having spent some
considerable effort back then designing kit I've been very happy with.

I've had two systems thoughout the last decade:
The main system:
) sourced from a MkII Gyrodec with an Ortofon MC10 on a silver wired
Rega RB300,
) control froma custom preamp built to a discreet design combining modified
designs from the Virtuoso Pre-Amp published in the uk magazine ETI in '86,
Ben Duncan's Amp02 from 1990's Hi-Fi News, and John Lindley-Hood's '89
design also in ETI.
) with a DIY Virtuoso Mosfet power amp also from ETI in '88 and '89,
) Driving DIY Speakers with Morel drive units.

The second system is a scaled down version of the first with a DIY
integrated amp fed by a Marantz CD-52.

All designs are built with hugely overspecified toroids, schottky diodes,
Elna Cerafine, LCR Polypropylene and Phillips & BHC reservoir caps.
Vishay bulk foil and Holco H8/H2 resistors. SPC and solid silver wires.
Modified with hugely overspecified toroids, schottky diodes,
constant current diodes (J500 etc) and constant voltage sources (zn458 etc).

I'm happy with much of the circuit toplogy, I now plan to rebuild with
new custom built aluminium chassis and remote control.

I've also just obtained a Teac VRDS T1 transport and Dac which I've got
plans to reclock with Elso's KwakClock, uprate the PSU and replace the
DAC.

Regards

Scraggles
