Default First Contact.....Hello Earthlings!!

Hello people!!
Nice to be here!!
Passed test for First Class FCC Radio/TV license in 1974.
Worked as Tech for WHFS-FM, Bethesda, MD. in 1978.
Abandoned radio (no money) to work for RR as a electro-mechanical Tech.
Retired from the RR this year.
I'm now working with my son at his Auto Speed Shop (nice gig).
I've DIYed stereo speakers, guitar cabinets, guitar amps, and electric guitars over the last 30 years.....with only minor injuries!
I'll do my best to TRY to contribute something useful on RARE occasions.
PLEASE try and tolerate my occasional lapses in bad taste..............

Welcome to the forums!

1974 for your ticket? You must be almost as old as I.

Hi kids,

I got mine in 1965!
WDOK AM/FM
WIXY - 1260
WVIZ TV
WABQ AM C.E.
WXEN FM C.E.
WDBN FM. Helped design what was probably the most powerful FM transmitter in the US, 78,000 transmitter watts! (not antenna watts).
By the time we got everything working (it burnt-up the first antenna) the price of electricity jumped and it used lots of electricty.
