New Jersey audio guy here...

Hi everyone, my name is Mike Forbes and I've been into serious home recording since 2003 (was 15 at the time) when I got my first mixer for Christmas! Now I'm a student at Stevens Institute of Technology in NJ (right across the river from NYC) pursuing my degree in Music & Technology. Over the years I've picked up a huge understanding of digital audio and recording techniques, mostly thanks to websites like this (and of course, Wikipedia). Anyway, I'm glad to be a part of another forum in order to help and be helped! Check out my work at http://www.string-six.com.

Welcome to diyAudio. Though we're not really focussed on music making here, many of us have experience in the field and there are some interesting discussions.
