Hi all,
Be gentle with your newbie poking hot soldering irons I have bee in London all my life and enjoy taking things apart, mechanical or electrical (mainly when faulty!!) trying to work out how they function and either repairing and or improving....failing that, finding someone who can....or the bin! Functionality and being 'fit for purpose' are the main criteria before asthetics when buying anything............however, owning a motorbike and looking like a Power Ranger is being a bit hypocritical!! (leather is the best for sliding down the road on!!!) Older HiFi equipment is what I like and I intend to repair and improve with what I have, so I can forget it again for another 10 years...(or until it mal-functions again!!) All the best, Regards, Keith |
