Default Hello from Lux350

Hi, Everybodies,

I'm Lux350 from Taipei, Taiwan.

My favorite pre-amplifier is Luxman CL-350, 25 yeays old, that is why I use the name in diyAudio.

The power amplifier is JBL SE460, 25 years old, hard to find again ! The other power amplifier is MC275CE (1993), just bought days ago.

The CD Player is Sony CDP 590 bought 20 years ago and still fine after pick-up head changed.

The speakers pair are Heco MS35, 25 years old, a nice set of table speakers that sound great for music and voice as well !

Have nice days of music, everybodies.

Lux350

Default mc275ce

Welcome to the forum!

You have a nice system, but it's too early to share this experiences of DIYers to your 275ce
for red plate of kt88. They found that buffer tube 12AZ7/12AT7 quality is very critical in setting the bias to the powr tubes, unbalanced and poor buffer tube in this place will cause the power tube to fail. Also failed the 18k cathode resistor...
& found that this amp use a 2.2M resistor plus a parallel 0.1mf to couple from the V2 to V3, but, don't understand why they do that, as usually a coupling cap of 0.1mu is enough.!
