Default Newbie from the Pennsylvania Pocono Mountains

Hi all,

I am a 46 year old nutcase born and raised in Philly. I moved up to the mountains 3 years ago to have a tranquil exsistance while I wait for terminal liver disease to take me out. Though that was supposed to happen already, I've decided to out live everyone I know just for spite!! ;-)

And now I have to stick around at lease 10 more years because my lovely wife and I are raising our grandkids.

I have been tinkering around with Ham and Shortwave tube gear off and on for a few years but I am completely new to the audiophile world.

I stumbled onto this site looking for information on my first stereo amp, 2-50EH5's and a 12AX7, that I just got for $25. I still have been unsuccessful in finding info on it but i will post questions and pics in the tube amp section ASAP.

Poking around the site I see that you seem to be a freindly and helpful bunch and I look forward to meeting and occasionally picking your brains.

Well enough of my ranting. Talk soon
Rob Capone

Hi Rob,

Welcome! Has anybody ever asked if you're related to Al? (ducking, sorry!)

I'm from that general neck of the woods. I grew up in Villanova. I'm living in Colorado now, but I still listen to WRTI on internet radio.

I'm not a tube guy, but from what I've seen of the tube forum, it is excellent.

You had better be a Flyers fan!

Anyhoo, enjoy! - It's a well-run site with lots of interesting people.
