Hello from New Jersey

About me,

Background in electronics, telecommunication. Played drums with my band for about 12 years, designed and built FM receivers, speakers, amps, mixers, guitar effects, electronics for tape recorders, etc.
Lately worked with Scan-Speak, Peerless, Vifa, Dayton, ATC, etc.
Music I like; from Palestrina to Massive Attack... from Dr. John and Colonel Bruce Hampton & Aquarium Rescue Unit to Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky... the only thing; it’s got to be good music (not necessarily well recorded).
I listen to natural sounds as I listen to speakers... evaluating tonal balance, distortion and dynamics.
Designed and built all audio gear I’m listening to.
Currently I work in X-Ray spectrometry.

(Sound almost like a resume...)

DIY could REALLY, REALLY use some insight and ideas for FM receiver design --
