Ah, I see. I guess my final destination should be an active crossover with 3 seperate amps (3-way crossover at the moment). As for my enclosure, it's a ported one. And thanks alot for all the help. first I think I'll make a nice little leach amp and see how it turns out, all this diy stuff is so darn cool

One last thing i forgot to mention and probably the most major factor that determines the maximum power that the speaker should be given ........ generally you want the speaker to have a flat response ........ so you have to do the sums and probably a simulation or two and work out how hard you can push the drivers so that the speaker gives a flat response ...... for the purpose of this exercise, push the drivers as close to the their rating as possible but make sure you dont exceed any of them...... odds are you will find that to keep things flat, while some of the drivers will be running at their rating, others will be running below it ........ this is largly determined by the type and size of enclosure that the drivers are in
