Default Hello from Scarborough

Hi,
I've been getting info off the forum for quite a while now, so I thought I'd better get round to introducing myself.
I live in Scarborough (the english one), the origional sea-side resort, with my missis and 5 of our seven kids who we cant get out of the house yet (4 are to young and one is an 18yr old who is planning to get a job!!!!!!!!!!!.
I started building some Fostex BLH (FE166 +FT17) last year, and will hopefuly be finishing within the next 2 months. The main reason they have taken so long is that due to lack of space (and the wife's lack of understanding when I use woodworking machinery in the living room) I have to use the back garden as a workshop. This of course requires fine weather, which of course in a British seaside resort only occurs in summer (curently from July 10th to July 12th). Another reason is trying to get the missis to agree that speakers come before new washing machines, clothes, food etc an argument I havn't won.
When the speakers are finished I will write up my experience and post some pictures on the other forum.
Apart from the BLH's I am building I also use an Audiolab 8000A, marantz CD63, KEF104/2 on noisy days (when the nieghbur is out) and Wharfdale Loundpanels on quiet days.
I work as a PCB (PWB) designer and also design plastic moulded cases using 3D CAD, with woodworking as a hobby.
Anyway time to get back to work, its been nice meeting you all (virtualy), and thanks for all the info I've gleemed from the forums
while building the BLH.

Hi Marce and welcome to the forums. When I saw Scarborough, I immediately thought of the Canadian city, not the original.

Hi Marce.
I know how you feel. I live in another wet English seaside resort and have to use my garden as a woodworking facility.

Welcome!
Regards,
Martin
