Default Hello from Upstate NY

OK, let's see if I can post this now. Took me a while to figure it out, as on the other boards I subscribe to, there is no need to check off a "Have you searched?" box.

It's time to return to my teenage years and try my hand at building things again. Haven't built a speaker or amp since then.

Based on info and plans on the Full Range group, I have bought Fostex FE108 drivers, plywood, and assorted parts to make a pair of Metronomes. I'm taking a positive attitude from Bob The Builder (I sometimes watch w/ my grandsons): Can we build it? YES WE CAN!

Wish me luck!
Jim

Ah, well, you'd be amazed how often the question you ask has been answered before - this board has been around for a while...

Anyway, welcome to the forum, hope you think it's worthwhile.

Thanks for the welcome!

I will report on my project (to whatever extent folks want to hear about such things.) I'm cutting plywood now. I work exceedingly slowly, so it may be a couple weeks before I have anything to say. My college roommate once got on my case, saying I could spend two weeks thinking about how to save 15 minutes. That 'defect' turned out to be an asset when I went to work for Kodak. Seems companies like it when you tweek things & save time (money.)

Cheers, Jim
