diyAudio - Hi from England

Hi!

I've been lurking on this and other boards and learnt a lot. Now time to register and get more involved. I chose DF96 as my login as that was the first valve/tube I ever bought, nearly 40 years ago, for a 1-valve SW radio. I still have the valve, although the markings have worn off; the radio is no more.

BTW, is anyone interested in a list of Brimar/Mazda factory codes? Having failed to find one with Google, I have started putting a list together myself. An early version is on my website. If anyone is interested I could put a link in the Tubes forum.

My current project is an EL34 UL amp, loosely based on Mullard 5-20 but with half an ECC81/12AT7 instead of EF86. Still buying parts, and finalising the design.
