New guy intro

Greetings from Portland,
I like music. I like a very diverse and varied, if not eclectic variety of music. From Ambient Dub to Asian Underground to Traditional Surf to Bossa Nova to New Bossa Nova to Hard Core Punk to Radical Jewish to Middle Eastern to Southern and Northern Indian to Cuban to Indie to Man Made Trance to Japanese Psych to.....and the list goes on.
Yes a tad varied. I want to start building a home setup. I have built guitars and tube amps. I like Bass that causes your heart to stop and start again. I will be starting out doing a stereo gain clone and then a pre-amp stage and probebly some speakers. I currently listen to CDs with some Shure E3C buds.
