Default Fender Hotrod Deville 212

Anyone know where to get a R3000 3000v 200ma diode?

It is reverse wired on the output stage for spike protection. Can it just be removed? The older amps did not use this method of protection.

I was thinking about using 3 IN4007 diodes wired in series to replace it.

Indeed older amplifiers don't have them. I use voltage supression parts with a supression voltage of (2 times the anode voltage + 25%)
And 3 times the 4007 could work.
