Hi all
Could you recommend me a small (dome)midrange or a tweeter for
around 1500Hz cross. freq. up to min. 7Khz for a bass cabinet
that I'm constructing?
The woofer is a BC 12PS32 and has usable range up to 2Khz.
I don't prefer the compressor drivers because of weight, cost and
their large surface area it takes on the baffle.

you'd be much better off with a cone midrange unit.
They are available with sealed backs.
A cone midrange is OK by itself...but it cannot compete,sound-wise,a good tweeter.
Take a look at the Selenium tweeters (Brazilian brand).
One of these can be found in the EBS bass cabs, wich are some of the finest on the today's market, along with Epifani or ...you name it.
I have the EBS 410 box and the Selenium is by far the best I have played in years!

A normal tweeter will simply rapidly expire.
Not necessarily. If we're talking SERIOUS tweeters,a 100W hi-freq.driver (bullet or ring) through a 2nd order filter cutting at around 1,5~2 KHz should survive without problems in a bass cab up to,say,800W.
