Hi all,

I'm building an on-board guitar preamp and would like opinions. (I know, I know ... opinions are like ...whatever!) The pre will have a simple balanced buffer for each pickup, a pickup pan control, a volume control and an active wide-range tone control. Obviously, I need something with low power consumption, low noise and a decent slew rate.

I'm leaning toward the LT1352 based on my reading here. They're $9 each, but I'm not too concerned about that because I only need two and I want as transparent a sound as I can get. Even $20 per would be fine as long as it's as transparent as possible.

Anybody have experience with the LT1352, or any other suggestions? Most of the chips I've read about here need way too much power, or they are described as "thin" or whatever.

Thanks in advance!
