When you hit the standby switch the circuit breaker popped. This means there's a short circuit in the high voltage circuit. Remove the tubes and try again. If the circuit breaker pops again the filter capacitor (the silver can) could be shorted. Have you peeked inside yet?

Hello
Schematic is here.
Prowess Amplifiers - Sunn - Schematics - 200S

schematic shows a rectifier tube but don't see on on the amp.

These are the most common suspect items you will need to test with an Ohm meter to eliminate.

1-Shorted high voltage rectifier diode/tube.
2-Shorted Filter capacitor.
3-Shorted filter choke.
4-Shorted output transformer.

Start with measuring resistance on both sides of the filter choke to ground.

The lower value will be the direction of the short.

Hope that gets you started.

Sunn 200s short

Forgot to add.
Electrolytic capacitors are only reliable up to about 15 years old.
Filters should Always be replaced in vintage tube amplifiers.
Never use an old stock electrolytic capacitor.
We leave the old FP can cap in place, Add a terminal strip moving the connections off the old cap.
Then use some New high voltage tubular filters that fit nicely under the chassis..
You can raise the capacity by 20 to 30% but do not go larger as it brings a host of new problems.
525 Working volts! Yeow.. that's gonna leave a mark........
Hope that helps.
