Kasper,
I prefer the resitors in the AC High Voltage feed wires to the rectifier tube as this reduces the stress on the rectifier tube as well.
Cheers,
Ian

Thanks again for the good advisce. A pair of 100 ohms did the trick. B+ at the first cap is now 352. The schematic below calls for 354, so it should be fine.

However, there is a difference between the ceriatone layout Ive used, and the schematic Ive used. The two resisistors in the powersupply are 22k according to schem, but they are only 2k2 in the layout

When I check my voltage at v2 pins 1 and 6 I read 270 volts. The schematic says 250. I guess this would be different If it were 22k resistors in the powersupply?

bagudan,
Going by the voltage drops across those resistors and the current I would expect to see at nodes C and D then the schematic values of 22K are correct.
Cheers,
Ian

Bagudan,

I'm about to start a spitfire build as well and am in the process of choosing a transformer.
How did your build work out ? and is a toroidal transformer ok for the job ?

Francesco
