an effects loop instead the spring reverb ?

Hello, I've a guitar amp with tubes. Epiphone Valve senior.
It doesn't have an effects loop.

So, is it possible to disconnect the spring reverb, and to put the pedals instead of it without electronic modification ?

well, you can definitely use the RETURN from the reverb to mix effects in..

the send portion you're gonna need to play with the circuitry a little bit most likely, as it's taking the send to the verb right off the plate.

maybe something as simple as adding a blocking cap.

You would probably want to make it a cathode follower to drive lower impedance loads. Also the level will need to be lower for the effects inputs, guitar level to line level range. Keep in mind that the reverb mixing is just that, mixing. Effects send/return puts the effects in-line and there isn't a mix with the original signal in the return amp, it's just the effects output.

I'm finishing up an amp build and trying to come up with a way to balance the effects send level, but it looks like the only good option is to have an send level control. It's annoying because the return amp will need more gain for low level effects. Master volume is positioned right before the return amp. This is a helpful page for the topic:
