hello
I like the idea to have and make (from different existing units) my own basse guitar amplifier.
I am a noob in Adio DIY (I used to be a carpenter) but I do know how to, if explained propely.
I have a Power amp (HH VX-600)
and a Pre-Amp (APHEX 207)
how do I make these match?
what kind of speakers should I use ?
is it going to work ?
is it worth the bother ?
Am I out of my mind ?
Thank you for your help !

I'm no expert, but a single 12" driver is probably a good start.
Here's one that I built earlier this year. It's the TL806 cabinet from an old Electrovoice data sheet (hope that I'm not violating anybody's copyright by adding it ).
I used 21mm MDF and changed the external dimensions to keep the internal volume as in the plans. It came out quite nice.
So far I have only tested it with an external amp. I still have to complete the electronics to go with it.
