My Yamaha DG stomp pre amp will not play when connected from the mono output to a tube amp input but WILL play when connected to a solid state amp (both Fenders). Signal into tube amp very low and distorted. Any ideas?

Check for 5vdc across the audio outputs. This happened to one channel of my Stomp.....the culprit is a failed "muting" transistor that is located near the output jacks. You get a problem with a tube amp because the 5v throws the first gain stage out of bias.
