Building a guitar pre+ampli, whit effects!!!

Hi, I'm posting from Italy (so sorry for my bad english), I have already buit some hi-fi amplifiers whit some IC (LM3886 gaiclone, tda 2005) and one whit Mosfets (kit FT15 from futura elettronica,www.futurashop.it).
I want to realize a guitar amp for my brother who plays elecrtic guitar using one FT15, it's a 100watts, 2mosfet amp, but I need some effects like averdrive(gain), tremolo or/and others and a preamp.
I was going to take a guitar preamp (kit: 8220-K4102, around 30€) always from futura elettronica and build all togeter and use for the effects 1 or 2 external pedals.
Does someone knows it is a good idea or knows a good preamp kit whit effects to tell me?

Google for guitar distortion circuit and you will find many different schematics for guitar overdrive and distortion.
