Default DIY Calrec Equalizer

Hi all,

Here comes information about building your own version of the Calrec PQ1549 Equalizer, the one found in the Calrec "Polar" desk. This EQ is one of my absolute favorites when it comes to standard IC-based types - and it is quite easy to build...

Comments and feedback is more than welcome

Best regards

Its great, Gyraf, to have you on board here !

I recently had the inductors made for a PULTEQ (the hi-lo version) following the schematics from your page.
Boy, how long did I search for that !

I try to implement the filters in an NAIM42 preamp between the input buffer and the gain amp, instead of the volume and balance controls. I hope that 20db gain will be enough.
I'll keep you informed about the progress (slow as ever, you know...)

Hi Klaus,

Yep, 20dB is exactly what's needed for the Pultec passive stage..
