My friend's Vox AD100VT combo amp has a Line Out for recording that he wants to use live (there's no talking him out of it) but when you plug into the Line Out it mutes the speakers! The only way around this so far is to plug into an extension cab as well, and the ext. cab will sound but the combo speakers are still muted. Does anybody know anyway around this, or any mods that can be done to fix this? If anyone can explain how this "mute" works, then maybe I can figure it out. Thanks!!!

You can download the instruction manual from Vox which shows it's a headphone socket, and states it will mute the internal speaker (as a headphone socket should).
You should be able to simply defeat the switch, but I would suggest you check how it's wired first. An easier solution would be to use the SEND effect socket on the rear!.
