Default Guitar Amp Project

My newest project. Tubes are one GZ34, three 12AX7s, one 12AT7 & four EL84. Controls are Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master Volume, Feedback (Presence), Reverb, Dual Rectifier (Tube or Solid-State), Standby/Operate & Power switch.

Speakers are a pair of Jensen MOD 10". I should have it running tomorrow.

Default Project complete

The amp meets sonic expectations. It sounds like an early '60s Fender. It makes sense as the amp has a Fender type tone stack with modded midrange pot of 20K. EL84s are hard bias for a cleaner sound, yet not having that part of the tetrode 6V6/6L6 glassy sound. In short, classic EL84 sonics on any hard bias EL84. The dual rectifier selects either a tube rectifier or a solid-state rectifier. The SS rectifier does have more of a harder sound. Using a small 10uF input cap to a LC makes the amp dead quiet & provides some voltage sag with the SS rectifier.

Anyways, on to the next project.

Hi amperex,
Looks good. Bottom shot? Schematic? I'm sure there are a few out there that may want to try it.

It cost about $400- not cheap. I have not wrote up schematics, just 'floats in my head'.

Sorry about bottom pix, but I had the amp installed in the finished cab & do not want to disassemble. Looks like any other guitar amp underside.
