Thumbs up Cheap professionnal audio workstation

Agnula/DeMuDi is a linux distrifution focused on professionnal audio work.

It is based on Debian, have a special realtime multimedia kernel and a huge software collection.

After the installation on a pc, you get a professionnal audio workstation with a really low latency. You can do a multitrack realtime recording, and/or realtime synthesys, and/or realtime sound effects, and/or much more.

At the difference of proprietary and expensive solutions using hudge program doing a lot of things, Agnula offer a hudge software selection, each of them doing one thing, but very well. With the sound server, jack, you can combine those programs using the mouse, exactly as you will do on stage or in a studio using cables. That implie at the only limitations are the power of your machine and your imagination.

It is 2 possibilities to try it: the live cd and the install cd. If you want do serious audio work, you MUST install it. If you don't have a free partition, you must add a disk or repartition the existing disk. During the installation, Agnula will install a double boot windows-Agnula.
