Compressor & limiter effect help plz ...

hi all ..
anybody have any schematic or pcb for a good compressor or limiter effects ? ...
i hell need it :P .. specialy a limiter for a bass guitar ..
i ll be so grateful if anybody can help me ...

good compressors are hard to find, this is a good one with all the necessary features but middle of the road in terms of sound quality

the chip is called an ssm2166

In the data sheet it describes the circuit layout, quite simple really
ive got one im using for a guitar and it does the trick

you can google it for slightly better ways to wire it up also

thnx a lot ... but i m afraid i dont find that ic in my country

...
bout a few month ago i just find a very good compressor schematic w an ic like that but i coudnt find it in here

& i cant but it from net :P .. so i m searchin for a transistor schematic or some popular ics , i have some schematic w ca3080 or tl072 ..but they don really satisfy me :P ... they r several schematic for compressors in www.tonepad.com , but i searched the web & i don find any limiter

... anybody can help ?

Hello Ahmad_tbp,

I'm also planning to built a compressor for bass one day

I ended up with (Grey) Ross Compressor, seems to be nice apparat. You can find schematics, PCB and parts list from Fuzz Central. Hopefully I've got enough time to this projects at summer
