I've got a '75 Rhodes stage piano ( MK 1 )...and everything works but the vibrato circuit. I've been told that the 2 LDRs burn out in these somewhat frequently, and they need to be replaced.
I looked at the circuitboard, and i can see they are labled VACTEC. I see that VACTEC made many of the LDR's used in fender amplifiers. The schematic of my preamp doesn't specify which LDR it is. For the life of me i can't find the specific VACTEC model # for this particular circuit in order to replace it. I've seen Fender LDR replacements, but they look like they're homemade and are upwards of $20@. Anyone know the # of the vactec component i'm looking for, and an internet puveyor that sells them? thanks in advance -Maz |

Ive seen people replace the LDR's found in compressors with cheap versions i.e. standard off the shelf types without problems, you could try it..?
