Default Mic input for guitar?

I have made pads before so I could use a mic input for a line input. The pad I made dropped the level 60db. Since I am not a musician maybe someone could tell me what kind of level drop would be needed in order to use a guitar in a mic input circuit.

As long as the microphone input is high impedance, it should work for a guitar. Note. The microphone input MUST have a high impedance.
