Hiss noise from Fender Frontman 15G, solution

I happened to need a potentiometer, and my hissing Fender Frontman 15G had one which I could pull. When I put the cage back into the cabinet I could make the old hissing go away by agitating the pots in their sockets. I think the painted cage makes for poor conductivity to ground. Stripped some paint with a screw driver. Worth checking out if you own a hissing Fender Frontman 15G.
