Fender Hot Rod Deluxe - Cracking noise when adjusting nobs

I have about a 10 year old hot rod deluxe and it sounds great but I have problems with a crackling noise when I turn up or down the volume and the same issue with the drive nob. Once the nobs are set, the amp is fine, its just when adjusting the nobs and the rest of the nobs go up and down without the crackle. Does anyone know what this could be? Dirty pots? Other? Dirty pots?

Give them a spray with Caig DeoxIT D5. That should shut them up.

99% of the time it is just dirt, and a can of Deoxit works wonders. Once in a great while it will be DC voltage on the pots. But that is even less likely if the problem is on two pots.

Deoxit worked great. Thank you both for the advice. I ended up using it on 3 electric guitars and the amp and it worked like a charm.
