Can i run 2 speakers left output 400 watt and the same amp 2 speakers right output 140 watt - adjusting the potentiometers to suit output - in other words the amp output will be totally unbalanced

What kind of amp? Brand and model.

It matters not an iota what each channel is doing. In true stereo one channel may have a thunderous noise being produced with the other channel being fairly quiet.

It'll sound horrible and unbalanced but there is no reason why you can't run a stereo amplifer as two separate amplifiers.

Indeed if you simply unplug one of the inputs to a stereo amplifer, that is exactly what you would be doing.

The amp is Fane FDJ450 - i will be playing in mono because it is for sound re-enforcement in a hall
