Hi
I build 2 Dr Boogey pedal for my friends, but just solder elements and bias fets,im beginer in electronics. I like sound of pedal and wana make one for me, but im playing bass guitar. Can u help me, what need to change in schematic to get good sound for bass guitar with this pedal? here is pedal gaussmarkov: diy fx Dr. Boogey and here schematic http://gaussmarkov.net/layouts/drboo/drboo-schem.png maybe caps in tone stack? Well, it's a *guitar* pedal, noted for its distorted sounds, not sure just changing value of a couple capacitors will turn it into a Bass preamp.
For starters, I'd try it as-is. After all, early Fender and Marshall Bass amps were *almost* the same as the Guitar version ... and were not *meant* to distort, so it could be done. Isn't there a similar Tube_to_Fet conversion, but based on an Ampeg? I bet that should suit you more. Good luck. |
