Default DIY ribbon microphone preamp question

Hello,

I'm currently building a ribbon microphone with scavenged parts from everywhere.
I have a question about this preamp project : N1NKM's V4 'Delta' Ribbon mic page

I've never seen this kind of transistor configuration before. Is there a mistake in the mic preamp schematics ?

Thank you

P.S. I share my schematics and diy curation here :

The first transistor is common base, and the second common emiter. I see no problem/issue.

Yes, it's a perfectly normal common-base configuration - it looks a bit weird because the transistor is drawn sideways.
