Hi,

I have no experience with bass guitar speaker.

But as I'm very happy with the sound of my Lambda Dipole-15 with the bass guitar, I thought of placing the TD15H in a closed box with 70 liters.
Simulation looks good, and there should be nearly 110 db output at 40Hz.

Any opinions?

Thanx
Stephan

yes, also try simulate the other AE 15" ;)

anyway, the very low Fs of these woofers certainly help gettin them go low, despite a low Qts

right from the hip, I would bet on the TD15X

they all have very high VAS, so kind of od creatures fore a small box
but as said, the very low Fs might do wonders

maybe take care not to get too much peak at lowend rolloff

be aware that even with bass guitar, a dipole and boxed woofer might sound very different

the dipole design probably have the better sound, upwards
or in other words, more refined sound
where as the boxed design will have more power, better power handling, more 'grunt'

if you like the more 'refined' sound of the dipole, it might be hard to beat ;)

how about having both :D

That is a good idea, maybe with an removable back wall in in the enclosure.

The simulation gives no indication of a peak with 70 liters.
