Identifying Microphone

This microphone(pictures attached) is from a headset with headphones removed.
I got this microphone(or the headset) from a local shop. The headset(and the microphone) is for a laptop with 3.5 mm jack as you can see in the pictures attached.
I am unable to identify the "nature" of this microphone.
I think it is unidirectional.
Help as to what kind of microphone is it?
Electret? Other details/specifications....

Those mics are usually uni-directional electret-condensers with an operational voltage of between 1V and 10V (here's a Radio Shack similar device: Electret Microphone Element with Leads - RadioShack.com). Sometimes, though, they are not condensers but are passive devices - you can tell because a condenser requires a power source (usually in the little "box" that is on the cord). Usually they are condensers, though.

The frequency response is anything but flat on those things - especially the cheap ones. You are looking at little or no bass response below 200Hz and a nasty boost in the high-mid frequencies at about 5k for transmission of the human voice.
