I've been scratching my head over this recently. It's my first try at creating a loadline, so any advice is welcome. The goal is to use a single-ended 6DQ6B final. Linearity is not a concern, though I want more H2 than H3 (i.e. harmonics descending as order increases). No other restrictions.
Here's what I came up with. Do my calculations make sense? The datasheet only shows curves for G2=150V so I've graphically scaled them up to 175V by referencing the G1=0v for G2 curves plot. The tentative plan is to use a voltage doubling power supply in order to provide an easy G2 supply tap. ..Todd |

No way will you get 9.2W Po with < 18W dissipation. Something is wrong with the way you derived your load line. The slope doesn't correspond to 5K load. Power should be calculated by multiplying RMS voltage swing by RMS current swing. I don't know how you got .045 for current. You can also use Vrms ^2 / Zload but you have to get the load line right first.

Okay, I think this is better.
The load is 10k (corresponds to 50mA over 500V) and the power calculates to 4.2W which shouldn't raise any eyebrows.Any advice? (he says, ducking...) ..Todd |
