Cool Buffered output??

Hi again people with Brains!

I am attempting to build a "Soul Preacher" Compressor pedal. I seem to understand the assembly generally and have bought the necessary components however,

There is an output the article says on the 2nd lug of the Vol pot. which I can understand, but there is also a spot on the pcb called "A" which equals "Buffered Output"

I have no idea what Buffered Output is and what it should be used for. Can anyone shine some light on this for me please???

Thanks in advance for any help. I would post the photo of the pcb but I don't know if I'm breaking any rules or not.
Can the Mods please let me know?? or can I post a link??

Low impedance output to drive the input of another equipment without loss of signal.
