Hello All,
I modified an Solid state fender ultra chorus 212 stereo amp, basically the Op-Amp stage who had the diodes in the feedback was replaced for a single ended jfet stage powered with +15v, the transistor is a 2N5457, the result was improved dynamics, but with a lack of "over the top" punchy distortion, also the amp react well to guitars volume knob and the pop is more noticeable when changing channels. Please take a look to the video and share what you think. Thank you Link to video: YouTube - Solid state Fender Amp Mod; JFET stage on drive channel |
