For a while I've been thinking about how to eq my guitar. I don't have much love for graphic eq's, and realistically I'd be needing at least two eq's so buying pedals might turn out expensive. I can't find any reasonable priced parametric eq's that have more than a single band, so I thought I might as well try to make my own. I'm not particularly gifted with electronics
I was wondering if anyone could give me some guidance on whether or not this is a viable design. I have yet to decide whether or not to make the resistence variable (via a pot in place of R12) but otherwise I can't find any problems - but I could easily be mistaken... Thanks in advance. |

Ooops forgot to upload the schematic: parametric_eq_0.1.jpg And that's variable Q, not variable "resistence". Think before you type...

I would suggest building it and trying it - I don't really know if variable Q would be a worthwhile addition or not?.

Check out R.G. Keen's site. New Page 1 There is a link for "FX Projects". On that page there is a section on "tone control/EQ". There is a good article with schematics. The web site is a great one.
