Default Active DI circuit for low impedance?

Hey I'm wondering are there any active DI circuits (Without transformer) for low impedance sources?

Could a circuit like this be modified to to accommodate a very low impedance source?

That circuit will work fine with a Low impedance source but if you know your source impedance is allways going to be low then you can probably simplify the design somewhat .......

Not really, most of the circuit is concerned with generating the balanced output, and utilising phantom power - so not a lot of simplifying could be done.

Sure you can , If you don"t need to run it off batteries or Phantom than that option can be dropped , If it is going to be used with a Low impedance source You can use just a single opamp as an inverter ......

Crude and nasty, far better to give a proper balanced output.

And if you want minimum component count, and don't mind crude and nasty, why bother at all? - if it's a low impedance source then just connect to the balanced input, strapped as unbalanced, attenuating if required (using low values to maintain the low impedance).

Well the source has very low impedance... Much lower than the ~600 ohm most mixers want... Would what your saying still be ok with such a low impedance?
