recently built a fuzz face using the original schematic except with an led and transistors from small bear. it works in bypass, and when i engage it, the led comes on, but there is no sound. Also, I tested every connection with an ohmmeter and used an audio probe to try to see where the sound was and wasn't coming through, but it didn't even work when I just connected it to the input jack. But, the probe worked when i connected it to the input jack in bypass. does anyone have any tips for troubleshooting?

Can you post the schemo you used and a picture of wiring? Will go a long way towards anyone being able to offer advise or condolences. I remember one that I NEVER could get to work in the distant past. Know how frustrating it can be.

Hi, I think you have wired the bypass switch wrong, because if you can probe the input jack and get nothing in one position and something in the other position, then it's obviously the path that is wrong. Unless you've got something shorted to ground after switch...
Post a picture, wonT' you please? O.
