Looking for schematics for a Behringer PMP 1000, 3000 and 5000 models. I have one of each to be fixed. seems to be power supply issues.

Those all have SMPS, and the power suppy will shut off in a heratbeat if the load is at all screwy. Make sure the power amps are not at fault first. They are more likely to fail than the power supply. When SMPS does fail, well, all we can do is try to help.

Hi, Zero Cool,
i have today the same problem like you do. There so any power or voltage on my SPS. The important issue is the SPS1000 have also the PMP1280 (its really the same) so you can easly find a schematic for your mixer. Can you tell me how did you solve your problem with smps? Did you fixed it? Zeki Quote:

Can someone help me repair my PMP1000. Sounds great through the headphones/phones output, but as soon as I connect the speakers at the speakon connectors, the sound is initially loud, then frizzles away to almost zero volume after making a high pitched screechy rising noise for about 6 seconds, speakers are OK, as I run them on my PMP5000, and they sound great.
Is this power amp the output amp, because the way I see it, as the board with all of the inputs, faders etc, also has an op amp before the headphone output. I have checked T1,2,3,4 and D1,2 and all have no short or open circuits. I have a diagram, so any help would be appreciated. |

Check the overcurrent detectors T8 and T9 than charge the 1 Mfd cap and latch the transistor pair T11 and T12. If you overdrive the amp this can cause the symptoms you are seeing. Using too low impedance speakers will also do it.
