Paia stack in a box
Hi
Awhile back there was a thead about Paias tube stack in a box tube pre-amp,here is my take on that: Hafler P-500 power amplifier,DoD eq and and a ETA Power Conditioned than it goes into a 200watt homemade speaker cab. the EQ is a DoD 430. |

I recently built an amp useing the Stack in a Box as a Preamp and it sounds freaking awesome....
Mine is a Modded Stack in a Box ( modded for 1000x Gain and useing fet opamps at the input) Mine also has a 15 bands EQ with is consumer gear I intedgrated into the amp and for the power amp I used a TDA7293 100w Mosfet power amp IC with 40,000uF Capacitance in the PSU and a 200vA 2x28v AC Power transformer... It"s not pretty but sounds great...  Cheers Thinking about adding a simple compressor to it also... |
