ART Tube MP mods?

Are there any mods about for the Original Tube MP preamp for use as either a tube line driver inserted into an effects send/return, or as a blues driver/od?

It doesn't sound very sweet even with a groovetube in it.
Rather harsh actually.

This ART Tube Pre-Amp is sold as transparent as possible, but with the warmth associated to tubes. I own one( among tha many other stuff in my studio) and find it quite nice, considering the price range and its size...Quite handy !

Bought two in 1998 so far they sound fine to me even though there is no global negative feedback from output to input.
