This is gonna be tough to obtain. All of the Alembic electronic devices are of a "secret" and proprietary design, just so folks don't copy them and "knock them off" ...
" There is no other preamp, graphic EQ, parametric EQ, or filter unit anywhere from anyone that can shape tone like the Alembic SF-2. ..." >> http://alembic.stores.yahoo.net/sf2superfilter.html The factory is down the freeway from me about a half dozen miles, and when I visit, they are always cagey about their parts sources, schemos, tricks, tips and traps ...

Ironic, considering their F-2 B is basically a Fender Bandmaster preamp in a rack cabinet.
Thanks for the reply. |

Then there should be no real problem figuring out the schematic, right?

Nah, the F-2B is their tube preamp, the Super Filter is a whole other product.

Same, same .. a rose by anyother name still smells as sweet. Granted that the two devices are slightly different, the SF-2 being a pre-amp with additional tone manipulation circuits and controls, the basic input and output is that of a tube pre-amp. In either case, good luck finding a schematic for either.

Oops, I see what you mean, the SF-2 is pure solid state ... my boo boo. But the I/O is still similar to a tube pre-amp = input and output impedence are the same as the other Alembic stuff.

An SF2 is basically a two channel state variable filter with selectable LP/BP/HP switching and a dry/wet mixer.
