The HPA-nxV202ps dual channel amplifier module is now available
from the web site online shop!

Main features are:
100 watt RMS per channel into 8 Ohms and 180 watts RMS into 4 ohms
High quality on board power supply with soft recovery diodes and rail fuse protected.
Channel One and Channel Two Bridgeable with one link for over 300 watts RMS into 8 Ohm.
40,000uf of on board supply filtering.

Some of the new features of this amplifier:
1. Employs Nested feedback loops in its design for improved imaging
2. The input stage now features folded cascode topology.

More details are available on the aussie amplifiers web site

The HPA-nxV202ps can also be supplied without the main filter capacitors

What about the price for the three options ?:):)
Serge

Money,money always money:violin:

OK

Option One: HPA-nxV202ps with everything $429.00AUD

Option Two: HPA-nxV202ps without 4 x 10,000uf 63 volt capacitors $385.00

Option Three: HPA-nxV202ps without entire power supply $360.00AUD

If option three is chosen and you wish to use your own external power supply
The main PCB has direct DC power connections via the Faston Tabs that bypass the main rectifiers and filter capacitors.

Postage for one nxV202ps to most parts of the world is $30.00AUD Airmail.

I will add these options to the shopping card ASAP. :)

I was curious if there are any drawbacks to an all-in-one module like this aside from not being able to choose a different power supply?

Do you have a picture of one mounted on a heatsink?

Hi olblueyez

I don't know of any disadvantages with the 202ps all in one module.
The power supply has been optimised for the two channels, such as overlapping
the power supply rails feeding both channels on the top and bottom layers. This helps to cancel out to some degree the computation pulses present on the supply rail in a class B amplifier.

I don't have any photos of the 202ps mounted on a heat sink, but the 203ps is almost the same amplifier here is a photo of this module mounted on a heat sink.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

In bridge mode, what is the output power for 4ohm load?

Hi Nacder

The maximum power that the nxV202ps module in bridge mode driving
a 4 ohm load would be around 350 watts RMS.
But this would be at a reduced supply voltage level from the normal
+-50 volt rails.
if the normal voltage rail is used then 4 ohm loads in bridge mode would not
be recommended long term as this would exceed the SOAR rating of the output stage.

Cheers
