I'm thinking of purchasing a car amplifier it's just the board and no heatsink. Can a special heatsink be made for it? It's a Rockford Fosgate Punch 100X2. It uses TO-220 package transistors.

Hello chipper....sorry we missed this thread post somehow. If you can tell me the heatsink dimensions you require, I can perhaps see if any of our profiles would work for you. If you like to check out our website, you can see our available profiles which we can cut horizontally or vertically to order.

I am looking for the same thing. A standard heat sink you make would work but you would need the rest of the "enclosure" so that you could mount it properly in a car. Any chance you might make something like that. If you want I could post some photos of how old amplifier companies used to do it.
