Anyone try this? I have a broken pair of Sony MDR-EX51LP headphones which I took apart, and the cabling looks really interesting. It is thick and really flexible with a coating like used in magnet wire. The cable is long enough to use in a single run without having to add on to it and have extra connections.

Even with companies like AKG and Sennheiser the cable used for there headphones is bad.
I replaced the cable of my AKG k501 with $1.50/m Tasker Miccable and that was a huge inprovement. So I would say, don't bother! Just find yourself a offical phonocable, or leave the original one in place. |
